We use these names only to describe what Stagehand AI works with. Their use does not imply any partnership or endorsement.
WhatsApp connection disclosure
Stagehand AI connects to your WhatsApp number as a linked device, the same way WhatsApp Web does, when you scan a QR code with your phone. Please understand what that means before you use it:
- It is an unofficial connection. It is not the official WhatsApp Business API, and Stagehand AI is not made, approved or supported by WhatsApp or Meta.
- WhatsApp’s terms do not allow unofficial apps or automated messaging without WhatsApp’s permission, and Stagehand AI does not have that permission. Using Stagehand AI does not give it to you.
- WhatsApp may restrict or permanently ban the connected number without warning. A ban applies to the whole WhatsApp account, including the app on your phone. We cannot prevent or reverse that.
- It can stop working when WhatsApp changes its apps or servers, for days or weeks, and sometimes a fix is not possible.
- Stagehand AI reduces the risk: it only messages people who contacted your business first, limits how many replies each chat gets per hour, never sends bulk messages or cold outreach, and lets you keep a person in control. It cannot remove the risk.
Keep another way for customers to reach you, such as a phone number or email, in case WhatsApp access is interrupted, and read our terms for the full position.
AI providers
Stagehand Managed AI is powered by Claude from Anthropic, reached through Stagehand Cloud, Gravaxis’s online service. Local AI uses Ollama, a third-party program running on your own PC. Neither Anthropic nor the Ollama project endorses Stagehand AI.
Software license
Stagehand AI is proprietary software. Your use is governed by our terms of service and the End User License Agreement that comes with it, both of which you accept by email before you pay (see The agreement); if they conflict, the terms of service apply. It includes third-party open-source components under their own licenses, listed with the software.
